Guess What Happened?

Hey / Aloha all,
First, congratulations Stroud, we knew you would cave eventually. I would also like to welcome Sean to the family, he has brought an enormous amount of happiness and stability to my sisters life, he has treated my mother and my Nana with the upmost respect from day one and even though he is a Michigan / Hurricane fan I look forward to having him as a brother-in-law.

Main reason for the post is to let everyone know that Heather and I will be welcoming another addition to our family in November! My wife informed me last Friday that we (notice the use of "we") are pregnant. Keep your fingers crossed for a little boy to carry on the Goodwin name.

On a side note, we are in the process of preparing to move back East! We will be moving to N. Kentucky later next month. Needless to say Mom and Nana were very excited about the move but the news of a baby on the way have sent them over the top! H and I are looking forward to being back in the Midwest close to family (and the Browns, Buckeyes, Makers Mark, Montgomery Inn etc..) and within a drive of the entire clan.

I will miss California however I am truly excited about the opportunity to raise my children around their Grandparents / Aunts / Uncles and Cousins, my hope is that I do as good a job as our parents did with us.

Cam's not the only one engaged!...

So whoever thought that Mike Stroud would get married? Well, he is!! It was made official today in the paper so I'm making it official here as well! The lucky lady is named Liz and apparently Mike has fallen head over heels in love! It has been a short courtship, they began dating in the late fall, but I guess when you know, you know! The wedding is slated for Sunday, June 24th at 6pm (this year--in just a few months) and I'm told that invitations are coming soon! Hopefully at least some of you will make plans to come to this momentous event!!

"New Guy" gets new name....Fiance!!!!!

Hey everyone. About two weeks ago, Sean asked me (on bended knee with flowers and everything) to marry him!!!!!! Of course I said YES. :) He then surprised me with an engagement party with all of our friends and local family present. It was an amazing night. Anyway, we found a reception site last weekend, which also helped us settle on a date. The wedding will be March 8th, so mark it on your calendars now!!!!! Should be a fun day and of course there is an open bar, so I expect everyone to be there. :)

I will post more here as details come available. Speaking of which, please forward to me any updates to personal information so that I can send it out to everyone. This will also help me keep address info up to date as well.

Snow Day!!!

Hey Everyone!!!

It takes a "snow day" for me to find time to sit down and say HI! I use the term "snow day" loosely as the good folks here on the Eastern Shore don't know what to do when white stuff starts falling from the sky :) I know our light dusting is nothing compared to all of the snow Sarah's had up in New York, but it's enough for them to send us home from school early, and that makes me happy!!!! For those of you that don't know, I work as the computer lab assistant at an elementary school. While I do sit in front of a computer all day, I'm not supposed to go to blogging websites from school... so mostly I get to play elementary-age computer games all day... tough job, I know :)

To answer Charlotte's question... YES, we do watch LOST and Grey's Anatomy... we do have some interesting theories if anyone wants to talk...

Gotta go, it's snowing again and the dogs want to go outside :)

Hi All,
Thanks for setting this up C., pretty easy way for everyone to stay in touch. Thanks for posting the e-mail I sent out this a.m., a few were kicked back for various reasons (file size), didn't even think about posting it here. Read the past few messages, glad to hear everyone seems to be doing fine.

Michele, Las Vegas? We (H and myself) are tossing around the idea of going over with some friends of ours the first weekend in April. Not sure if it's the 30th - 2nd or 6th - 9th. Shoot me your dates and if you all don't mind us crashing the girls weekend out, I would love to see you guys.

Hope everyone has a great week, as for myself I have the week off (just because), it's supposed to be sunny and in the 80's and after I complete my wife's "request" list I will be on the course working on correcting a slight pull I have developed with my new driver.
